  Kylie Chrustowski, C.O.

  Kylie Chrustowski is a certified orthoptist who works alongside Dr. Gappy to care for patients at Central Eye Care. As physician extenders, orthoptists specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of binocular vision problems including strabismus (eye misalignment), amblyopia (“lazy eye”), and diplopia (double vision). She is an active member of the AACO (American Association of Certified Orthoptists) and frequently attends continued education meetings to stay up-to-date on current patient care practices.

  Shawn Gappy, M.D.

  Central Eye Care, P.C.

  Dr. Shawn Gappy is an ophthalmologist specializing in pediatric eye disease and adult strabismus (ocular misalignment). A native metro Detroiter, Dr. Gappy graduated valedictorian of his high school class at Orchard Lake St. Mary’s and then spent his next 12 years in Detroit: majoring in biological sciences at Wayne State University, receiving his medical degree (MD) at the Wayne State University School of Medicine, and completing his internship and ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Hospital.
